1) CELL-

WHO DISCOVERED CELL?

 Robert Hooke in 1665

- THE FUNDAMENTAL ORGANISATIONAL UNIT OF LIFE IS THE CELL.

- CELLS ARE ENCLOSED BY A PLASMA MEMBRANE COMPOSED OF LIPIDS     AND PROTEINS.

-  THE CELL  MEMBRANE IS AN ACTIVE PART OF THE CELL.

- THE HUMAN BODY COMPOSED OF TRILLIONS OF CELLS.

- CELLS ARE TWO TYPES-

                                     1]Prokaryotes( are single-celled organisms)
2] eukaryotes (can be either single-celled or multicellular.)
  • The longest cells in the human body are the motor neurons.
Cells are specialised to their function. This is known as specialised cells
